This month I can’t get Textured Birds<\/a> out of my head, so today I’m sharing a card with one of the stamps from this set.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

First I die cut a piece of watercolor paper with a die, then I used a stencil with the resist technique to paint my background with Distress Oxides in shades of blue. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

To add more texture and layers to the background, I stamped with the Mixed Media Marks 1<\/a> and Mixed Media Marks 3<\/a> sets using the same inks, and also black ink. Then I applied washi tape to make a floor for my bird.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After that, I sewed a frame to the entire card with my sewing machine with black thread, and glued it onto a black cardstock to frame and deepen the card.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I used some additional embellishments from Grungy Stuff<\/a> set stamped on silk and white paper.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And now I let you a few detailed pictures of my project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
