Hello arty friends, Angie here with a lovely mixed media project using the Marks 1 stencil and the stamps from Pencil Marks 4<\/a>. I am trying hard to get into the habit of journaling daily (I’ve never been good at routine), but I love the combination of art and writing. I really like to slap a bit of colour on a blank page and then add some collage bits like I’ve done here – it gives me a lot of joy when I open the journal to see those pops of colour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Here I started by playing with brushos and some of the fabulous new stencils. I sprinkled some Brusho powders on my craft mat, spritzed with water and put on the stencil. I did a first mop up with paper straight on this, then picked up the stencil and smooshed it on my journal page. You can continue using the colour left on the mat in various ways. I used a green\/blue combination for the pages.<\/p>\n\n\n

Next I stamped flowers on some orange\/pink pages I had created and cut these out.<\/p>\n\n\n

I created some areas on the pages that would ground the flowers, using scraps of ephemera and washi tape.<\/p>\n\n\n

I then arranged and glued down the flowers, added some paper confetti and a few little doodles. I can’t wait to write on these pages!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
