Quick and Easy Abstract Collage in my Art Journal

Hi there, Susanne here with a quick and easy abstract collage that is done in one of my small spiral bound sketchbooks using handpainted/ handstamped papers. My focal image is a leaf stamp from Pencil Marks 3. I love these little art journals as the pages are not very big. This is the perfect size to make some art that takes not too much time.

If you have already papers ready to glue down it’s even better. I used a variaty of paper scraps from my stash on this page. There is some old book paper that I have stamped with black ink and the leaf from Carved Collection 4, gelli prints and some stationery paper. I tor different bits and pieces and glued them down with a glue stick. For some extra interest I stamped the numbers from Mix It Up 1, applied astencil pattern with acrylic paint and added some black splatters. I finished the page up with a leaf from Pencil Marks 3. and a stentiment build from Mix A Sentiment.

To get that watercolor look on the leaf I inked the stamp up with Distress Ink in black soot and spritzt it with a tiny amount of water before I stamped it to watercolor paper.
