Autumn leaves & wire – great collage fodder

Hi there! Ashild here today with a fab idea on some handmade collage fodder using the Autumn Leaves and Sketchy Leaves stamps set. Do you need some funky leaves for your art journal pages or cards? This is so easy and fun to make!

All you need is:
1) stamps from the different stamp sets with leaves, like “Autumn Leaves“, “Collage Leaves 2” or “Sketchy Leaves”
2) thin wire
3) collage papers and
4) glue.
You can use gelliprints, scrapbooking papers or your own handmade background papers.

You need at least 2 sheets of collage paper – one for the front of the leaves and one for the back. Stamp leaves to one of the papers. Cut close to the bottom of the stem and turn the paper upside down. Add glue to the paper and place bits of the wire so that they poke out where the stems are stamped. Place the other sheet of paper down to to glued background. Be sure to press tight where the wire is, to assure the glue is holding on good. Then turn the “sandwich” (stamped paper + wire + back paper) around and cut out the stamped leaves. To mount the leaves together, simply twist the wires. Then the collage fodder is ready to use.
