Mixed Media ATCs with a Masterboard & Collage Leaves

Hi there, Susanne here! I’m sharing a set of two mixed media artist trading cards using stamps from our Collage Leaves set. The card base is cut from a masterboard that I created in mixed media. I started the masterboard with a random collage, added acrylic paints and did some stamping and mark making. Usually this turns out quite messy and doesn’t look like a piece of art, but once you cut it down to smaller pieces it makes a gorgeous background.

ATCs are little art cards which can be made from any type of medium. They measure 2.5″ x 3.5″. Often people are trading them online.

I inked up the edges of each card with black and added a piece of collage paper before I adhered the focal image. I didn’t color in the leaves, as the background was already so busy. Keeping them just black and white calms it down a bit. Instead of only black ink I embossed the leaves with black powder. That gives them more dimension.

For the titles I picked some words from our Mix A Sentiment and Journal Words stamp sets. These embossed in white to black cardstock.

I hope I could inspire you a little bit, thanks for stopping by today!

xx Susanne
