Mixed Media Tutorial with Pencil Marks 6 and Rainbow Stencil

This month, I am having an intuitive month of creativity. This means that I don’t worry about whether the colors and patterns match each other, nor do I care about mixing different styles. I don’t overthink it. I’m not afraid if I find the multitude of paints or patterns on the paper looking ugly. I just doodle. I don’t stress about it. It’s like a release valve since we have to meet so many expectations and obligations in our everyday lives. At least while creating art, let’s not try to please anyone else.

By the way, this is one of the best ways to find your own style, and it’s truly liberating. Take a look at how I made this card:

I diluted the paints I had at hand with a little water and randomly placed them on the page. I added another layer in the background with the Rainbow stencil, then stamped with some of the stamps from the Pencil Marks 6 set, and continued layering with paint and more stamping. I doodled on the page a bit, as long as I felt like it. and then placed this lovely flower on it.

I hope I’ve inspired you and given you the desire to try intuitive creativity.

Hugs,

Szilvi
