Lovely Greeting Card with Inky Flowers and Stencil Background
The artsy stencil designs from Rubber Dance are not only perfect for messy mixed media projects. They work so well for a cleaner style too. Today I am sharing a greeting card tutorial using the Marks 2 and Big Triangles stencil for the background. I am using some of the Inky Flowers to create an outstanding focal image!
Using the stencils with ink pads and blending tools gives a crips outcome. This card has a special edge – with cut-out-parts of stamped flowers.
Step by step:
1. Use the stencils with ink/blending tool
2. Stamp one flower with embossing ink and add heat embossing powder
3. Stamp the same flower on a piece of print paper and cut it out as a mask
4. Stamp more flowers so that they overlap and together create a cohesive stamped image from top to bottom of the card.
5. Color the flowers with ink/waterbrush, pencils or whatever you prefere
6. Cut close to the stamped images so that you create a new fussy cut edge
7. Use the stencil on the visible corner of the inside of the card
8. Stamp a sentiment and add text stickers and add some gold details
Enjoy living on the blooming edge 🙂
Love, Åshild
