Arty Wings with Inky Friends – Greeting Card

Hello, Samantha here today and I am sharing a card I made using a few sets of Rubber Dance stamps. I think my card is a good example of how different sets can work really well together, so don’t be afraid to stamp a whole lot of images and mix and match. I used; Mix it Up 2, Mix It Up 4, Inky Friends, Loose Florals 1 and text from the Collage Leaves set.

To begin, my card blank is 5 inches by 5 inches so I cut a slightly smaller piece of white card and created the background using a distress ink and water and just wiping the card through the diluted ink and using the same ink and stamps from Mix It Up 2 and Mix It Up 4 I stamped directly on the background when dry. To add a little contrast and more details I stamped the text in a dark grey. All of the other components, the flower from Loose Florals 1 and the butterfly from Inky Friends, were stamped on to white card, if needed, coloured with watercolour paints and then white highlights using a pen. To finish my card I added the text from Collage Leaves, doodled lines around the edges and adhered in place.
