Art Journal Tutorial with Collage Leaves 2 & Stencil Background

Hello, Sixela here.
Today, I have the pleasure of presenting you my first creation. It is an A5 art journal page where I used different media and Rubber Dance Collage Leaves 2, Doodle Flowers 2, and Pencil Marks 7 stamps with Marks 3 stencil.
I started by putting masking tape, because I wanted to get a white border on my page to make it look like a frame. I applied white gesso using an old loyalty card.
I wanted to create my own paper, for this I stamped a heart pattern with Doodle Flowers 2 and black Versafine ink.
I tore pieces of this paper, as well as an old book page and glued them together.
I applied prussian blue hue, turquoise green and unbleached titanium acrylic paint and white gesso with my finger.

I made “Black soot” distress oxide marks using the Marks 3 stencil and a small brush.
I stamped a strip of geometric patterns from the Pencil Marks 7 board at the top and side.
Then I embossed the foliage of the Collage Leaves 2 board in white.

I made black spots with neocolor 2 watercolour chalk, for this I apply water to the end of the chalk with a brush with a water reservoir, then I rub the tip of the brush energetically on the chalk to make splashes.
I then wanted to give a little shine and I glued silver leaves. To do this, I apply glue in a tube, I position a sheet (be careful with handling, it’s very fragile) then I apply with my finger so that the sheet holds, I put it back on as I go, until I don’t feel any more glue under my fingers.
I made patterns with a wax chalk (red Hot).
I added red spots with watercolour chalk, as I did before. And I glued stamps from the Collage Leaves 2 board.

And to finish I stamped a flower from the Pencil Marks 7 board, added the title “Bliss” from the Doodle Flowers 2 board, as well as a few strokes of white posca and black pencil.

Here are some close-ups of the finished spread:

I wish you a very nice day! Sixela
