Christmas Cards with Gelli Print & Textured XMas Trees

Hi there, Susanne here sharing a card making video using our brand new Textured XMas Trees 2 stamp set together with a gelli printed background using our new Stars 1 stencil. The new products were released yesterday and are 10% off until Sunday the 20th of October!

I started these cards with some gel printing in unusual colours for the Christmas season. I used Sap Green, Turquoise Green and Quinachridone Magenta. I made a few gel prints with them using our Stars 1 stencil. I didn’t use the stencil directly on the plate. I dry embossed it with my Sizzix Big Shot and used this embossed cardstock to create the patterns.

Whilst my backgrounds were drying I stamped the Textured XMas Trees 2 with white embossing powder. I colored them with metalllic watercolors and cut them out. I die cut the gel prints with a frame die and added some glitter with glitter embossing powder and the little stars that are in the stamp set. I adhered the backgrounds to a white card base. I then placed the trees on top with foam tape. The sentiments are embossed to some of the left over pieces from the gel print.
