Christmas Card with Gelli Background and Textured Xmas Trees 2

Hello everyone, here is Evi again with today’s blog post. I have designed another Christmas card with the versatile Textured XMas Trees 2 and the Stars stencil.

For the background I used a negative print from the Gelli plate, which I had designed with the Stars stencil. Before I stamped the two trees and heat embossed them with black embossing powder, I coloured the old book pages on which I stamped them in pink, green and gold. I embossed one tree as an accent on white cardstock with black embossing powder.

I glued a small black and white strip of striped design paper to the left edge and stamped the lettering directly onto the background. I then glued on the pink base and the trees and sprinkled the top of the card with gold-coloured splashes.

The stars were added to the sky at the end and the background was then placed on a white card. To make everything stand out a little better, I stitched the card in black.
