Mixed Media Art journal Page with Textured Birds 2

   

Hey there, it’s Evi on the Blog today sharing a tutorial of a mixed media art journal page with a Distress Ink background, texture paste and different stencils. The main focus is on the bird on the branch, for which I used the stamp sets Textured Birds 2 and Pencil Marks 8.

I designed my art journal today to match spring. In friendly colours and with a bird, as they can be heard everywhere at the moment.

I first put distress ink on the stencil, then sprayed it with water and then printed it on the paper
I have repeated this process several times and also with other stencils
At the end I painted a texture paste over a stencil and stamped on different stamps
I stamped and coloured the bird and heat embossed the branch with white embossing powder
All details have been cut out
After I had applied a few splashes of colouring, all the details were glued on
