Mixed Media Art Journal Page with Distress Ink Background

Hi there, Susanne here sharing a mixed media art journal page with a Distress Ink background, our Ornament stencil and collage and our Pencil Marks 4 and Pencil Marks 8 stamp set. Scroll down for a video tutorial.

I started the page with Distress Ink in Forest Moos and applied it using our Ornament stencil. To give the page more depth and color I also added Vintage Photo and Worn Lipstick with a piece of acetate.
I had some rice calligraphy paper left, that I have stamped some time ago with image from Mix It Up 5 and Mix It Up 6. I adhered this to the bottom left corner of my page. To bring in some more interest I stamped an image from Pencil Marks 4 to the right side to create kind of a border.

Our Pencil Marks 4 stamp set is on sale this month!

To finish up my spread I adhered a piece of my handmade washi tape and one of the leaves from Pencil Marks 8. This was stamped to a gelli print with black embossing powder. Here is a video tutorial on how the page comes together. Scroll down for a video on how to make the washi tape:
