AHOY – A Gelli Printed Greeting Card

Lindsey (doodlings_cards) here with a seaside themed greeting card, using a Gelli print for the background and water coloured images from the AHOY stamp set.

I stamped several images from the AHOY set in permanent VersaFine black ink to allow me to watercolour the images without any bleeding.

The images were coloured with Caran d’Ache watercolour crayons and a spot of gold shimmery paint with Gansai Tambi metallic watercolours 😊

I chose a “sea-like” Gelli print background – you can see the step-step process for the print with the Organic 2 stencil in an earlier blog post HERE.

Then cut a frame with die-cut round aperture

And decided a little stamped heart would add a fun embellishment!

Everything ready to assemble … and some 3D sticky pads to raise the seagull and add a bit of dimension.
