Greeting Card with Textured Bird & Loose Florals

Hi, it’s Hege here today with a new greeting card using one of the lovely Textured Birds 2 and some of the cute Loose Florals! Today I want to share a blue and orange card. Blue and orange are complementary colours, so they go very well together and build a gorgeous contrast.

I used Gelli printed papers as the background elements, with a black boarder for contrast. The bird and the lovely flowers are stamped on watercolour paper and coloured them with watercolour paint. For contrast I mounted the bird and flowers on a black circle, and used a piece of string around the background before I glued the background on the card base.

Some other nice complementary colour combos would be purples with yellows and reds with greens!
