Art Journal Tutorial with Distress Inks Sketchy Flowers

Hello everyone.
It’s Sixela on the blog today with a step by step art journaling tutorial. To make this page I used the Rubber Dance Sketchy Flowers 1, Butterflies and Moths, Mix It Up 7 and Mix A Sentiment stamps with the Rainbows 2 stencils.
I’ve positioned masking tape all around my page.
Then I applied Distress Oxide “Kitsch flamingo” ink. To do this, I applied the ink to an acrylic block, I sprayed water on it, I mixed with my fingers and then I turned my block over on my page and I started again several times. I did the same thing again but with “Broken china” ink

Then I applied Distress Ink “Picked Raspberry” using the Rainbows 2 stencil and a small brush
I applied the “Salvaged patina” ink to the edges with a small brush.
Then I stamped patterns from board Mix It Up 7 with black Versafine ink.

I then did some hot embossing by dabbing the flowers on the Sketchy Flowers 1 board with versamark, then I applied white powder “wow”, I removed the excess powder (making sure to put a draft under my notebook to catch the excess powder), then I passed the heat gun to inflate and stick the powder.
I then made smudges using a neocolor2 pencil and a water reservoir brush.

To soften my background, I applied white acrylic paint with my fingers in some places.
I then colored the flowers and foliage with watercolor.
I made stains, tapping on a turquoise posca with my tops with scissors (or any other rigid object, don’t forget to activate the posca first)

Then I stamped and clipped butterflies from the Butterflies and Moths board and the title “spread our wings and fly” from the Mix A Sentiment board. And to finish I glued everything on my page and I undid the tape.

I wish you a very nice day.
