Greeting Card with Distress Inks and Stencils

Hi everyone! It’s Hege here with a new post.
Today I want to show you how I made the background for this card using Distress Inks together with the Rainbows 2, Big Triangles and Wheels stencils.

First I made a grid on a sheet of water colour paper with masking tape

Then I coloured with distress ink and blending tools

On top of this I used stencils and coloured through them with distress ink and blending tools, using the same colours

Removing the tape is magical!

The sheet was cut in six pieces, ready to use as backgrounds for six future creations!

I used one of the backgrounds on this card

On today’s card I used a circle I coloured blue with distress ink, a white circle with a sentiment, three flowers from my collection of leftovers from when I created the tag for my blogpost on the 17th of March! Mounted on a black cardstock for contrast.
I hope you can find inspiration in my tutorial!

Wishing you a creative day! Hege x
