Mixed media greeting card with Textured Sea Creatures

Hey there, it’s Evi on the blog today with a mixed media greeting card. I made this card using the turtle from the stamp set Textured Sea Creatures and the background with the stencils Stacked Ovals and Mini Marks.

I started designing the background by taking an old book page, placing the stencil Stacked Ovals on it, and wiping the distress oxide in green and yellow tones over it. Then I placed the stencil Mini Marks. in a few places, coated them with embossing ink, and sprinkled embossing powder in green over them.

Then I embossed a few white stamp impressions on the background and stamped the plant tendril from the set Sketchy Flowers 1 in black on the lower part. With a few splashes of green and white, the background was complete.

I stamped the turtle from the Set Textured Sea Creatures onto a gelli print and cut it out, and I embossed the jellyfish in black on vellum. I also embossed some tendrils on vellum with white embossing powder. Before gluing everything down, I sewed around the edge with black thread
