Art Journal Page Tutorial with XMas Trees 1

Hey there, it’s Evi on the blog today with a Tutorial for an Art Journal Page using the Ornament 1 and Stars 1 stencils for the background and trees made with XMas Trees 1 . It was jazzed up with a few stamps.

Since Christmas is almost around the corner, I’ve already gotten out the XMas Trees 1 stencil. For the background, I first used the Ornament 1 and Stars 1 stencils and sprayed on colors in blue and gold. Then I sprayed on green distress oxide spray, placed the XMas Trees 1stencil on top, and painted white texture paste over it.

I let the paste dry and then used a brush to add pink dots to the trees with the help of the Dotted 1 stencil. Then I added various accents: I stamped black stamps and scattered splashes of blue, black and silber paint and added highlights with pink wax crayons.

Finally, I outlined the trees with a black fineliner and added a sentence. And that was the art journal page that mainly consisted of stencils. Have fun getting creative.
