Stencil Smooshing with Distress Inks – Art Journaling Tutorial

Hi there, Susanne here sharing a new video tutorial! I am playing with Distress Inks and Oxides in my art journal together with our Cross It and Mini Ink Dots stencils. As my focal image I used some collage fodder and a botanical element made with Sketchy Leaves 5.

To start my spread I used our Cross It and Mini Ink Dots stencils together with Distress Ink in Uncharted Mariner and Distress Oxide in Fossilized Amber. I am inking up the stencil, add water with a spray bottle and press it onto my page. I am blending the ink a bit on the edges with a brush. I also used one of the masks from Sketchy Leaves 7 together with Distress Oxide in Black Soot.
Once that is all dry I add a bit of stamping with images from Mix It Up 4 and Mix It Up 7. I also make some black splatters.
For my focal image I am using collage fodder I’ve made with our Sketchy Leaves 5 stencil! There is a video linked at the on how I made these leaves. I adhered it with some paper scraps onto my page.
I finished the spread with a sentiment from our new Collage Leaves 3 stamp set.
