Stencil Smooshing with Distress Inks – Art Journal Page with Collage Fodder

Hi there, Susanne here sharing a new art journal page! I am playing with Distress Inks and Oxides in my art journal together with our Mini Textures stencil and stamps from Mix It Up 4 and Mix It Up 6. As my focal image I used a collage cluster with a botanical element made with Sketchy Leaves 7 and some faux stitching using Stitching Borders.

I cut the Mini Textures stencil into its four pieces and used them together with Distress Inks and Oxides to create a layered background. I am inking up the stencil, add water with a spray bottle and press it onto my page. I am blending the ink a bit on the edges with a brush.

Once that is all dry I add more stenciling with a blending brush and Distress Oxide in black soot and a bit of stamping with images from Mix It Up 4 and Mix It Up 6. I also make some black splatters.

I finished the spread with a sentiment from our new Collage Leaves 3 stamp set.
