Art Journaling with Distress Inks, Collage & Doodle Flowers

Hi everybody! I’m sharing an art journaling tutorial with you. Today I’m playing with Distress Inks and Oxides and a few stamps from Mix It Up 4, Mix It Up 5 and Mix It Up 6. As my focal image I used an image from our Doodle Flowers 2 stamp set together with some collage.

I started this spread by stamping some images from Mix It Up 4, just to bring some interest to the pages. I am working in my Canson Drawing Sketchbook and apply the inks with blending brushes directly to the page. Once I laid down all the colours I wanted to bring in some more textures. Instead of just adding water droplets I decided to stamp with water. I am using the heart from Mix It Up 6. That gave me some lovely ghost images.
I am stamping a frame around my page with the border stamp from Mix It Up 5 and adhered some collage papers and my focal image.
