Abstract Art Journal Page with Collage Leaves

Hi there, Susanne here sharing a new art journaling tutorial! I had a messy play with collage, ink and different mark making techniques. I am using a focal images from our Collage Leaves 2 stamp set.

I started the tags by adhering different collage papers with clear to the page. The papers are mainly handmade and contain gelli printed rice paper, painted tissue paper and old book paper. I used different types of ink over the dried collage. To bring more texture I spritzed water through our Mini Ink Dots stencil onto the dried ink and quickly removed it with a paper towel. This left a nice ghost image on the background.
I also did some background stamping with images from Mix It Up 4 and Mix It Up 7 to bring in more interest.
I finished the page with a focal point from our Collage Leaves 2 set and a sentiment stamped with an image from Collage Leaves 3.
