Layered Art Journal Page with Collage Leaves

Hi there, Susanne here sharing an art journaling process in my Dina Wakley Media Journal using acrylic paints, our Marks 2 and Mini Marks stencils and stamps from Mix It Up 6, Mix It Up 7, A to Z, Mix A Sentiment and Collage Leaves 2.

I started the page by slapping down some acrylic paints in fluorescent pink and indian yellow. I added some stenciling in white with our Marks 2 stencil to bring everything together. To make everything more vibrant I made some white ink splatters, too.
As my focal point I picked an image from our Collage Leaves 2 stamp set. It is embossed in black to a gelli print. I am creating a collage cluster with some gelli prints and cut kind of a window into the base with a circle frame die. I stamped one of our Butterflies and Moths images into it.

I stamped a black cluster under the focal point and added some black and turquoise paint splatters. To stamp those images I used black acrylic paint on a gelli plate. Make sure to clean your stamps immediately after the use with acrylics! To bring the turquoise to the background I used a turquoise Neocolor and drew a pattern. My sentiment is put together with our A to Z, Mix A Sentiment and the word journey from Mix It Up 6.
