Mixed Media Tags with Collage Leaves 3

Hi there, Susanne here with a new video tutorial! I turning an unloved painting into some colourful Mixed Media tags, using our Collage Leaves 3, Mix It Up 6 and Stitching Borders stamp sets.
It happens quite some time, that I make a watercolor painting and then don’t finish it, because I don’t like it. Today I am using one of these to make some quick mixed media tags! You can use these tags in a bunch of different ways. They are not only beautiful to look at or a nice bookmark. You could make a scrapbooking mini album with them or decorate a gift! They also are a nice and quick way to fill an art journal page.
I cut the tags from Canson XL Mixed Media Paper. It’s a heavy paper with a smooth and a textured side. I prefer the smooth side. I am cutting and tearing pieces from my unloved watercolor painting to match my tags. Before adhering the papers I am adding some paint to the tags. I am using acrylic gouache (Liquitex), but you can use any type of paint.
Once the paint was dry I applied some stamping to the tags and also to the watercolor pieces using images from Mix It Up 6 and Stitching Borders.
To stick down the watercolor paper I used craft glue. I added some acrylic ink splatters in white and turquoise. To finish the tags I placed a focal image from our Collage Leaves 3 on top and adhered also a title.
Enjoy watching the video:
