Abstract Art Journaling with Watercolors & Mixed Media

Hi there, Susanne here sharing an abstract painting. I am working with watercolors, pencils, crayons, acrylic markers and stamps from Stitching Borders, Mix It Up 7 and Mix It Up 6.

I started by sketching out some square shapes with a Derwent Inktense pencils and then painted in these squares with watercolors. I added some mark making with water-soluble pencils into the wet paint.
Once dry I brought in some stamping to create depth and even more texture. I used images from Stitching Borders, Mix It Up 7 and Mix It Up 6. I added some more mark makings with a few Neocolor II crayons and acrylic paint markers.
