Artist Trading Cards using Inky Mushrooms & Pigment Powders

Lindsey (doodlings_cards) here with a pair of Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) using images from Inky Mushrooms coloured with Lindy’s Magicals pigment powders. As an alternative you can use any other kind of pigment powder, such as Brushos or Nuvo Shimmer Powders.

I heat embossed my 4 chosen images – because the cardstock was going to get rather wet 😁

I liberally spritzed the 4 images with water, then sprinkled a different colour on each from the Nantucket Pearls set by Lindy’s Magicals.

Lindy’s Magicals are pigment powders – very similar to Brushos – and they are a blend of several colours. This means that when sprinkled they give a wonderful effect with a myriad of colours!

Once dry, I added shading with Derwent pastel pencils and a graphite pencil.

I later went on to create a pair of ATCs with 2 of the mushroom images. For my background I “stencil stamped” using Marks 3 and distress oxide inks. Then I added interest with stamped images from the Mix it Up 4 set and some collage elements. Finally I added some texture paste, again using the Marks 3 stencil.

Here’s a couple of close ups for you.

I hope I’ve given you some crafty inspiration! Thanks so much for stopping by 😊
