Easy Art Journaling with Watercolors and Pencil Marks 1

Hi there, Susanne here with an easy and playful art journal spread using liquid watercolors, mark making, collage and images from our Pencil Marks 1 stamp set. I enjoy painting abstract and loose with watercolors because I really love the properties of this medium. Scroll down for a quick process clip.
I am working with liquid watercolors today, as an alternative you could also use normal watercolors or other inks. I started by laying down some green and blue with a big flat brush. I then used a smaller round brush for a different texture and to create some splatters. For a focal point I stamped the leaves from Pencil Marks 1 with blue ink. I then did some scribbly mark making with Neocolors. I used a dark blue to stay cohesive with the background and also a light orange as a complementary to raise the contrast of the composition. I finished the spread with some collage bits and white acrylic ink splatters.

Here is a glimpse into the process
I hope I could inspire you a little bit, thanks for stopping by today!
xx Susanne
