AHOY! Mixed Media Card with Stencil Texture

Hey there, its Evi here today, and in my first blog post I show you a summer themed mixed media greeting card with the AHOY stamp set and the Organic 2 stencil.

I started with the background and applied the distress oxide to the cardboard with a brush over the stencil. I used different colours of blue for the water and yellow and orange for the sky. After that I stamped the border stamp from the Mix it up 4 set in similar colors on the lower part of the card.

Then I embossed the grid stamp white on the background and also stamped and embossed the bubbles from the ahoy set in white. I colored the fishes with watercolors and added some sticky glitter on them.

Before I glued the designed background onto the card, I sewed around the card with black yarn. In case you don’t have a sewing machine, you will find some stitched border stamps on the Mixed Media Marks 1 or Mix It Up 5 stamp set! Then I added the fishes with foam tape and the sentence I choose.
