Abstract Art Journaling with Watercolors and Mark Making

Hi there, Susanne here with an abstract watercolor art journal page. I am playing intuitive with a lovely color palette today and I add some collage bits and also mark making with pencils, crayons and stamps from Mix It Up 1 and Carved Collection 4. Scroll down for a process video.

I lay down some watercolors loosely in colors that I picked in advance. I often create color palettes that I then can use in all kinds of different projects. Playing abstract with watercolors and mark making is such a relaxing process and super easy and fun! After my watercolors were dry I adhered a few bits of collage paper scraps from my stash.

For the mark makings I used pencils, Neocolors and also the shape of my watercolor brush to make some bigger marks. With just a few stamped images from Mix It Up 1 and Carved Collection 4 I am adding more interest to the whole spread.
