Art Journaling with Mixed Media and Doodle Flowers 2

Hi there, Susanne here sharing a mixed media art journal page with collage and a big variety of materials. The focal image is a flower bouquet made with stamps from our Doodle Flowers 2 set. Scroll down for a full process video.

I started the page by adhering different collage papers. I picked a lot of handmade papers and some stationery papers. I adhere the papers with my Tombow glue stick. I cover the whole spead with clear gesso to make the background kind of waterproof, so I can work on it with liquid mediums. Once dry I add different types of inks, e.g. Distress Oxides spray ink and Viarco Art Graf Tailor Shape crayons.

To bring in texture I used images from Mix It Up 6 together with black ink once the background was dry.

To finish up the page I created a focal image with our Doodle Flowers stamps and a vase cut from a gelli print. The flowers are embossed in black and quickly coloured in with Brusho Pigment Powders. I created a title with the letters from our A to Z stamp set.
