Altered Book Page with Carved Collection 4
Hello arty Friends,
how is your January going? It’s grey and dreary where I am so my page today is inspired by looking out of the window from my warm and cosy home.
The pages in my book are quite thin so I glued 4 of them together to give them a bit of strength.
I coloured the next page with Distress Oxides (Speckled Egg & Hickory Smoke) for a grey-ish background, then black-embossed the smaller tree from the stamp set on a piece of matching background from my gelli prints.
Next I coloured the front of the pages that were glued together with Distress Oxide (Wild Honey). I drew around a stamping block to mark the size of my aperture, enhance the line with a Stabilo All and a water brush and cut out the aperture.
After that I embossed the leaf shape on a piece of pink Gelli print.
I cut out the leaves ant the tree, edged the leaves with a little black ink and arranged them around the yellow part of the page.
Next I glued the tree down on the grey background, then added some doodling and a quote sticker.
