Art Journaling with Washi Tape & Neocolors

Hi there, Susanne here with a fun art journaling video tutorial with our brand new Carved Collection 6 stamp set and our Sketchy Leaves 6 stencil! I’m playing with the handmade Washi tapes I shared recently and Neocolor II crayons.

I’m starting the spread by adhering some pieces of the Washi Tapes. I also add a bit more stamping with the stars from Mix It Up 4. To prep the background I covered everything with Ultra Matte Medium (Liquitex), you can use clear gesso instead!

Once that was dry I applied the Neocolors to the page and blended them with a bit of water and my fingers. I let them dry a bit and then removed some of the pigments through our Dotted Stencil using a baby wipe.
I let the background dry again and then drew a circle with the Viarco Art Graf Tailor Shape in black all over the page. I stamped the leaves from our Carved Collection 6 with black acrylic paint.
I picked some collage fodder elements that I had made with the mask from Sketchy Leaves 6 using gelli prints (Tutorial for this technique is here). Once I was sure where to put them I added even more stamping with images from Mix It Up 6. I then adhered the collage elements and also a sentiment (stamped with images from Textured Birds 2) and the bird from Carved Collection 6.
