Mini Art Journal Page with Stencil Background

Lindsey (doodlings_cards) here with some mixed media inspiration and an art journal page from my mini journal, using the Stacked Ovals stencil, Mix It Up 6 stamp set and some collage fodder made with a stamp from Flowers Gone Wild.

I blended Distress Oxide ink through the new Stacked Ovals stencil and then blended around the edges of the page to soften it.

To add interest to the background I used the Mix It Up 6 stamp set, with tonal stamping and dark grey for contrast.

For my collage fodder, I had a pre-prepared sunflower from the Flowers Gone Wild set.

This was coupled with a piece from an instruction manual inked up in a complementary colour (I am a hoarder!), some tulle, iridescent sequins and splatters in gold acrylic ink. And I do like to add a spot of stitching to my projects – well I needed to adhere the tulle to the page somehow!
