Distress Ink Tags & an Art Journal Page -Video Tutorial

Hi there, Susanne here sharing an art journaling and mixed media tag tutorial using Distress Inks, Collage and our Sketchy Leaves 5 stencil. I also use stamps from our Mix It Up 4 and Mix It Up 6 stamp set. Scroll down for a full process video.

I started this project by creating two tags from Canson Mix Media Paper. I made the background with a mini round Gelli Plate and Distress Inks in Worn Lipstick and Peeled Paint. I also worked with Distress Oxide in Broken China. I adhered some collage papers and added some stamping with images from Mix It Up 4 and the numbers from Mixed Media Marks 1 and Mix It Up 6. For my focal images I picked two botanical collage fodder pieces that I’ve made with our Sketchy Leaves 5 stencil and the gelli plate. I will link a video tutorial for those at the end of this post.
