Stencil Smooshing with Distress Inks and Collage Fodder

Hi there, Susanne here sharing an art journaling video using one of the collage ephemera pieces I made in one of my last videos. I’m playing with Distress Inks and our new stencils (Ornament 1, Dotted 1 & Stars 1) and our brand new stamp sets: Pencil Marks 8 and Mix It Up 7. Scroll down for the video!

I used the stencil smooshing technique to create a colorful background with Distress Inks & Oxides and the stencils mentioned above. For this technique you are inking up the stencil, spritz it with water and then press it onto your background. I used Fossilized Amber and Spiced Marmalade in the Ink version and Forest Moos and Worn Lipstick in the Oxide Version.

I stamped some textures with the number stamps from Mix It Up 7 and added some black soot Distress Ink for a wider tonal range.
