Abstract Art Journal Technique with Inks & Collage

Hi there, Susanne here sharing an abstract art journaling process using acrlyic inks, collage, mark making and our Mini Marks stencil and stamps from A to Z, Mix A Sentiment and Pencil Marks 8.

I shared this background technique already in some older art journaling tutorial using watercolors. Today I am using acrylic inks in Prussian Blue, Raw Sienna and Antilope Brown. I am adding paint in different places of my double spread, added a bit of water and then press the pages together! That gives some amazing patterns and textures. I am working on gessoed pages. Once I was happy with my background I let it dry and added some stenciling with our Mini Marks stencil and a light acrylic paint. For more interest and texture I added a bit of stamping with images from Mix A Sentiment and the numbers from Mix It Up 7. I adhered a few bits of collage papers and a focal image from Pencil Marks 8. I finished the page with some mark making using Neocolors and a sentiment stamped with the letters from A to Z.
