Art Journal Page with Collage Fodder and Pencil Marks 7

Hi there, Susanne here with an abstract art journal page made with a collage background, acrylic inks, Neocolor II crayons and stamps from Mix It Up 4 and Pencil Marks 7. I also used a collage fodder embellishment, which I made in one of my last year’s videos. I’ll link it up underneath!

I started this spread by adhering different handmade collage papers. I mainly use gelli prints and old book papers (some of them were stamped). After I’ve glued them down I covered the page with a layer of clear gesso. Once this was dry I applied Neocolor II crayons, gouache sticks and some ivory acrylic ink to create a circular shape. I stamped with the text stamp from Mix It Up 4 to bring in more interest.

As my focal image I picked this one, as it matches the colors of the page perfectly. I will link up a tutorial video for these collage fodder embellishments at the end of this post.

Here is the video on how to make the collage fodder embellishments:

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial! Thanks for stopping by today!

xx Susanne
