Art Journal Page with Collage Fodder and Acrylic Inks

Hi there, Susanne here with a new video tutorial! Today I am sharing an art journal page tutorial with a quick background made with acrylic inks, Neocolor II crayons and stamps from Mix It Up 1 and Mix It Up 5. I also use a bit of collage and my focal image is a collage fodder embellishment, which was made with one of the Butterflies from the Butterflies and Moths set.

I started this spread by laying down acrylic inks in Phtalo Turquoise and Raw Sienna. Once this was dry I did some mark making with a dark blue pencil and some of my Neocolor II crayons in yellow shades. I added some white splatters an a bit of more white here and there with the ArtGraf Tailor Shape. I also made some black splatters.
As soon as the background was dry I did some stamping with the stitching borders and numbers from Mix It Up 1 and Mix It Up 5.

As my focal image I picked this one, as it matches the colors of the page perfectly. I will link up a tutorial video for these collage fodder embellishments at the end of this post.

To make the embellishment piece stand out I adhered it on top of two old book page pieces. I finished the page by adding more mark makings with Posca Pens in white and yellow.
