Art Journal Page Inspiration with Carved Collection

Hi, Rubber Dance friends!

Priss is here today with you. Hope you are preparing for a new weekend. In the meantime, I’m happy to share my new square art journal inspiration, which is almost full now.

The other day I was playing with my Gelli Plate, acrylics, and my favorite stamps Mixed Media Marks 1. But I was not at all satisfied with the results. So I tore the sheet into pieces and collaged the pieces on one of the loose sheets of my Art Journal. Then I applied some white gesso to the page with a roller. And this is the result.

I was wondering a bit about what to do with this page since I only knew that I wanted to use the wonderful trees from the Carved Collection 4 set.

But then I decided not to think too much and start stamping. And so this field began to emerge, with a couple of trees, enjoying a wonderful sunset.

Seeing it gives me a very familiar feeling of connection to nature, so this would surely be my Happy Place. So I stamped the sentiment with white embossing over black cardstock.

And best of all, we can still see the colors and details of the first sheet printed with the Gelli Plate, through all the layers.

I do hope you like it, thanks for watching.

Please check out the other blog posts for a lot of inspiration from the team. We have a fabulous Mood Board this month to help bring you ideas and you have the opportunity to win the challenge.

Hugs, Priss
