Winter Themed Mini Art Journal Page with XMas Trees

Hi there, Susanne here with a cute spread in my mini watercolor journal using Distress Ink in Chipped Saphire together with some lovely trees made with our XMas Trees stencil and Brushos. Scroll down for a full tutorial.

I started this spread by inking up the page with the Mini Distress Inks Pad. Because of the paper texture I also used a blending brush to lay down the colour more evenly. To bring in some variation and highlights I added some water droplets and dried the page with my heat tool. Within the drying process I added more water sprinkles. Once that was dry I added some trees with the same ink and the blending brush with the XMas Trees stencil.

My focal images are made with Brusho powders in pink and blue shades and our XMas Trees stencil. You can watch the process on how these are made here:

I finished the page by adhering a piece of old book paper to the bottom and two of the Brusho trees on top. I stamped the title “HoHoHo” from the Textured XMas Trees 2 stamp set. I finished the page with some white splatters.
