Merry Christmas – Mixed Media Art Journal Tutorial

Grace @coquitocraftlover speaks to you again here. Today I show you the step by step tutorial for a page in my art journal inspired by Christmas! I am using our fabulous Textured XMas Trees on a mixed media stencil background using Scribbles and Big Ovals. I hope you like them and enjoy these special dates creating.

First we use a stencil on our page, I used white texture paste because I want a texture that blends with the background.

Then we created a fun background with watercolours. (I like to moisten the paper so that the colours mix a little). For this background I only used watercolours.

To give a lot more texture to our page I have made some stamps in black ink and I have pasted some paper from bags printed with stamps, we also used the other stencil to create a contrast between so much colour.

And finally we placed the Christmas trees painted with neon watercolours, I liked to leave some details unpainted to generate contrast.
