Mixed Media Art Journal Page Idea with Collage Fodder and Stamps

Hi there, Susanne here with a mixed media spread in my handmade junk art journal using the lovely rainbow stamp from our Pencil Marks 3 stamp set. I combined it with a background collage, gesso, acrylic inks and mark making. This little journal is perfect to experiment and play! I will link up a tutorial on how to make your own at the end of this post.

For the background of this page I used handmade collage papers, mainly gelli prints or some stamped old book paper. I adhered the papers with a glue stick and covered the whole spread with a layer of clear gesso. I applied some white gesso as well to bring in some white space. To add even more interest to the background I added some stamping with Mixed Media Marks 1 and Vintage Postcard.
