Altered Index Cards with Distress Ink Background and Loose Florals

Hi there, Susanne here with some fun mixed media altered index cards using our Loose Florals clear stamp set on a Distress Ink background, that is textured with images from Mix It Up 5 and Mix It Up 6.

I started these cards with some Distress Ink backgrounds made by smooshing the cards into the ink on my craft mat. I’m repeating this process with both inks. I dry the layers inbetween to build up depth. I used the black soot Distress Crayon to bring in that dirty effect. To bring interest and texture to the background I stamped different images randomly with different colors usind the Mix It Up 5 and Mix It Up 6 stamp sets.

The flowers and leaves from Loose Florals are stamped to mixed media paper with Versafine Clair in black. I colored them also by dipping them into Distress Inks on my craft mat. That gave them a very loose and vibrant look.

The sentiment on each card is from our Mix A Sentiment stamp set. It’s embossed in white onto some black cardstock.
