Altered Index Cards with Brushos and Collage Leaves

Hi there, Susanne here with a new video tutorial! Today I am sharing some fun altered mixed media index cards using Brusho pigment powders together with some stencil texture using Cross It and collage fodder made with our Collage Leaves. Scroll down for a full video tutorial!
I started these index cards by wetting them with water and adding Brusho powders in Orange, Emerald Green and Prussian Blue. After these were dry I added some stencil Texture using white heavy Gesso and our Cross It Stencil. I let it dry again and then did a little bit of background stamping with images from Mix It Up 5. I made some splatters with metallic acrylic ink in copper.
To bring in a little extra interaction to the cards I die cut some tabs from another index card, which wasn’t finished. I stamped it with an image from Mix It Up 5 and adhered them to the top of the ICADs. As a focal image I made myself some collage fodder using stamps from Collage Leaves 2. I stamped them in black to mixed media paper, cut them out and coloured them in also with Brushos.
Here are some close-up images:

I made a folder for my index cards using a Sizzix die from Tim Holtz together with a gelli print. You don’t need a cutting die for that, it’s easy to make without any special tools. You will find a tutorial HERE!
I decorated it with some cut and stamped collage elements.

I hope you enjoyed this video! Thanks for stopping by today!
xx Susanne
