Artist Trading Card Inspiration using Doodle Flowers 2

Hey! It’s Laura on the blog today and I’m sharing some inspiration for creating Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) with Doodle Flowers 2 as my focal images. Do you like creating ATCs?

I love creating ATCs because they allow you to really experiment with colour and your products on a small scale. They’re super cute, dinky pieces of art and of course you can swap and trade them.

For my ATCs today I used some colour powders to create a bright and vibrant background on watercolour card. I then added some stamping in black VersaFine Clair ink using the Mix It Up 4 stamp set.

I then decided to stamp the grid stamp from the Mixed Media Marks 1 stamp set and white heat emboss it – but unfortunately the black ink wasn’t fully dry so my black stamping also ended up partially white! I think this was a happy accident though as I really liked the end results.

My focal images are flowers from Doodle Flowers 2 which I stamped and clear heat embossed and then coloured with the same colour powders.

I added words from the Mix A Sentiment stamp set which are white heat embossed on black card.

I hope that you like my bright and bold ATC’s! Don’t forget to leave a comment and let me know if you like creating ATC’s too.

Happy crafting!

Laura x
