ATC with Lindy’s Magicals & Inky Friends

Lindsey (doodlings_cards) here with a tutorial for a mixed media ATC using Lindy’s Magical pigment powders and a focal image from the Inky Friends stamp set.
I used mixed media card cut to ATC size – the background was going to have a lot of watercolour paint to soak up!
Then randomly stamped and clear embossed images from the Mix It Up 4 stamp set.
I then watered down some Lindy’s Magicals to colour the background (you could use other brands – there are plenty of different ones out there!) and added some splatters for good measure 😊

I used pale blue ink to stamp the large text image over the background – holding the stamp in my fingers rather than using an acrylic block to get a more random effect.
Then inked around the edges of the ATC.

Background sorted, now time to source/create elements to add to the design. I used the same pale blue ink and a receipt image from the Mix It Up 4 stamp set, then added some text to grungify it, before cutting out a mini tag shape.

The focal image is a water coloured bumble bee from the Inky Friends stamp set. This is sadly out of stock. But worry not, there are lots of gorgeous images in the Butterflies & Moths stamp set that are just as lovely!
Found some pretty iridescent sequins to complement the background colours, a small piece of white gauze to ground the bumble bee (mind you as it’s a flying insect, this is probably the wrong verb to use!)
and I had to add some stitching around the edge 😂

Here’s some close ups:

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
