Media Gloss Sprays & Sketchy Leaves Stencils

Lindsey (doodlings_cards) with a tutorial for using Dina Wakley media gloss sprays and stencil masks Sketchy Leaves 4 and Sketchy Leaves 5 .

First up, I used the Sketchy Leaves 4 masks and lime paint with white.
Randomly spray the paints onto cardstock (white is best so you get the true paint colours).
Tip #1 – wash the spray nozzles quickly after use, with a dunk in water or they can get clogged up.
The sprays dry very quickly with a great gloss shine.
When dry, place stencil masks on the card.
Then spray another paint on top to get a mask effect.

Next up was magenta and Sketchy Leaves 5 stencils.
Tip #2 – best to cover your work desk with waste paper, the over spray is very difficult to clean off!

Enough of monocolour … time to get really inky!
As you create further layers with more masks and colours, it starts to get really interesting.

Lots of fun to be had – and lots of vibrant, bright backgrounds for future projects 😊

I hope I’ve inspired you to have a play with acrylic spray paints and your stencil masks if you’ve not tried them before 😊
Just remember to protect your work desk (and clothes!) from the overspray 😂
