Artist Trading Cards using Collage Leaves

Hi there! It’s Laura on the blog today and I felt like creating a bright rainbow set of mixed media ATCs to cheer up the gloomy wet weather here in the UK! I am using images from the Collage Leaves stamp set as my focal images combined with the circle stamp from Mix It Up 1.

To create my ATCs I first cut three panels to size – 2.5 inches x 3.5 inches. I lined them up and then ink blended a rainbow of colours over the three cards. I used water reactive inks so I added a few water splatters and then once the cards were dry I used white pigment ink to stamp some text for background interest using the Mix a Sentiment 2023 stamp set.

The rainbow backgrounds created for my ATCs
I stamped and fussy cut all my focal elements and sentiments.

While I waited for the white pigment ink to dry I stamped my focal elements and sentiments. For the focal elements I used the Collage Leaves stamp set and I stamped three leaves out using the same water reactive inks. I then used a paint brush to pull the colour out of the stamped lines to colour the image. I used the Mix It Up Stamp set for the circle mark and again stamped in the same colours and fussy cut them out. My sentiments are from the Collage Leaves stamp set.

I then arranged all my elements. So I stuck the circle flat to the ATC using liquid glue. I think added some foam tape to the back of the collage leaves and I added some white thread behind them and stuck that down and then I added my sentiment on foam tape and some white splatters of acrylic paint and then rounded the corners off using a corner rounder punch. Here’s some close up photos:

I really hope these give you some inspiration! Thank you so much for reading my post and stopping by on the Rubber Dance Blog!
