DIY Decorated Gift Bag with Textured XMas Trees – Papercrafting Tutorial

Hi there, Susanne here with a lovely idea on how to wrap your Christmas gifts! We are going to make a DIY decorated gift bag today using our cute Textured XMas Trees stamps. We need a paperbag, some dark blue and white paint, watercolors (or any other coloring medium) and embossing powder in white. You will find a process clip at the end of this post.

I painted the paperbag with acrylic paint in prussian blue. After it was dry I added some white paint splatters. In the meantime I stamped the Textured XMas Trees with Versamark ink and embossed them in white on some mixed media paper. I then colored them in with watercolors. It’s nice if you have metallic paints to add some extra shimmer.

The sentiment, from our Winter Wonderland stamp set, is embossed with green powder. I cut it with a banner die and my Big Shot. I adhered everything to the bag with foam tape. Here is a quick process video:

I hope you like this idea! Have a wonderful week!

xx Susanne
